What is the Central America Leadership Initiative (CALI) Regional Event?
The CALI Regional Event is a biannual gathering of CALI Fellows and the broader CALI community. It focuses on fostering leadership development, enhancing networking opportunities, and promoting collaboration on key regional issues.
When and where will the CALI Regional 2025 take place?
The event will be held from February 19 to 22, 2025 at the Copantl Hotel & Convention in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
REGISTRATION
How do I register for the event?
You can register for the event by visiting our registration section and following the instructions provided.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, there is a registration fee. For details on the fee amount, what it covers, and available payment options, please visit the registration section of this page.
What is the deadline for registration?
The deadline for registration is December 15, 2024.
Are spouses welcome to attend the event?
Yes, spouses are welcome to attend. Please make sure to register them separately using the registration form to ensure we can accommodate all guests appropriately.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Up to November 15, 2024: A cancellation fee of 15% of the registration fee will be charged for cancellations received by midnight CST.
November 16 - December 15, 2024: A cancellation fee of 25% of the registration fee will be charged for cancellations received between these dates, by midnight CST.
On or after December 16, 2024: The full registration fee will be forfeited for cancellations received on or after this date.

Refunds will be issued after the Regional 2025 event.

What is the agenda for the event?

TRAVEL AND ACCOMODATION
Are there any recommended hotels for attendees?
Yes, we have partnered with several hotels in San Pedro Sula to offer special rates for attendees. Please visit the lodging section on the event page for more information.
How do I arrange transportation to and from the airport?
Participants need to coordinate their airport transfers directly with the recommended hotels.
Will ground transportation be provided?
Shuttle services will be available from the recommended hotels to the event venue. Detailed information will be shared with registered participants.
What are the passport and visa requirements for attending the event?
Citizens of Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador, under the Central American Free Mobility Agreement or CA-4, can present as identification documents either a National Identification Document (DNI) or a passport. Citizens of other nationalities can only enter Honduras with a passport valid for at least 6 months. Additionally, one blank page is required for an entry stamp. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality. Please check with the Honduran consulate in your country for specific information. We can provide invitation letters upon request to assist with your visa application.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Are there any vaccine requirements for attending the event?
Yes, travelers arriving from Panama, South America, and Africa are required to present proof of yellow fever vaccination. Please check our entry requirements section for more details. Effective March 22, 2023: Travelers are no longer required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 or negative test results for a PCR, Antigen, or ELISA test prior to entry in to Honduras.
Suggested: measles, rubella, rabies, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid.
Is travel insurance required?
While not required, we highly recommend that all attendees have travel insurance that covers medical expenses and trip cancellations.
